Marketing Sweet Spot: Quality Articles and Popular Blogs

14 March, 08:57, by admin Tags: , ,

Lately google did something to their ranking algorithm,   the reason cited is that google wanted to provide more relevant results, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, put it this way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. The update was initiated more than a year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, we call these sites link spamming sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, any links on them will be affected too.

Examples will be great for explanation. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I needed to rank the keyword, Cargo Net, of course with old way of link building, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. I would give credit where credit is due, this linking strategy worked, lately the keyword link stayed on the first page for a while, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain puller , we promoted this keyword with articles and blog posts, with very few plain links, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? It all boils down to content, when you create unique and quality content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, kaiya eve pettiskirts , I didn’t put too much effort into it from start, but I never stopped posting, now it can even rank the highly competitive keywords. As far as SEO concerned, blog marketing with great content is the way to go. If you can build a group of your own blogs, something like E Track Straps, then it will be easier to do article marketing.

At the end of day all you have to do is to create quality content, publish and share with people, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, now all we have to do is to give our love for creating and sharing great content and not to worry about the ranking every day. One of the best articles directories is EzineArticle, google will index a new article on ezine promptly, of course your posts on some blogs will be indexed real fast as well, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, take Traffic Cone as an example, nice writing, good content, published on popular site, this article is a good example of article marketing.

By the way, if you don’t take social media account, you’re lost. One thing you can do for your blogs is to install twitter tools, get a twitter account and API keys, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, you should choose to post a tweet for every new post, it’s simple and elegant, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.

Why It Is a Better Choice With Reflective Tie Downs?

When we talk about safe tie downs for trucks , the ratchet strap and winch strap are playing an important role in tying down load , ratchet strap can be used almost anywhere, such as on the trailer or in the box truck , on the other hand winch straps almost in all cases are being deployed with flat bed trucks with winches installed . As we all know there are other truck tie downs , for instance there are grade 70 chains , chain binders, e track strap, and more .

Here we will discuss about the reflective tie downs which have two reflective strips on the strap , in dark environment the reflective strips can be seen from afar , this seems like a safety feature, I believe it is. When it comes to safety, even a tiny bit of improve on safety will make the reflective tie downs worthwhile. We don’t have enough data to prove the safety benefits of reflective tie downs yet, but common sense tells us that if people can easily see the straps on the truck in low light, the probability of collision will be reduced.

Now compare the price of regular tie down to reflective tie down, usually you can figure this out by checking online retailers, a simple search tells us that the reflectives are a bit more expensive than regular ones, but not much, you will be able to buy a piece for around 10 something dollars, reflectives will increase the price by $1 to $2 , it doesn’t sound too expensive to me, say you buy 10 straps the price difference is about $20, since these straps can be used for quite some time, the conservative estimation will be at lease 6 months, it’s only about $3 a month to have the added security of reflectives! I say it’s definitely worth it, not only it’s safer but also it looks nice, people will always like stuff with high quality and aesthetic value.

What We Have to Know About Ratchet Straps

The ratchet straps are just the assemblies of ratchet buckle and tie down webbing, by this logic the cam buckle strap is just the cam buckle with tie down strap, why I am not surprised? Cam buckle tie downs are only for light duty use, and 2” cam buckles are the biggest size we will see in the real world use, and it’s still light duty. Unlike cam buckle, ratchet buckle are much stronger, and 2”,3” and 4” ratchet buckles are used in industrial grade applications, such as heavy duty transportation, they have working load limit of 3,333lbs, 5,400lbs and 5,400lbs respectively, these assemblies have design factor of 3:1, thus the minimum breaking strength is 10,000lbs, 16,200lbs and 16,200lbs respectively.

Up until now what we talked about is the tie downs for flatbed or similar commercial vehicles, in reality semi trailers are much more than flatbeds in numbers, since they are box trucks the tie down needs are different, you will see most box trucks have E Track installed and use logistic straps. In fact semi trailer has much bigger share than flatbed truck, the percentage maybe around 80%, of course this is only estimation but you get the idea, and the conclusion is that e tack straps are by far the most popular tie downs. The e track straps usually have working load limit of 1000lbs, which is only 30% of the 2” flatbed tie downs, and the breaking strength is only 3,000lbs based on design factor 3:1. It’s easy to understand that why e track straps are not as strong as regular ratchet tie down straps, inside the box truck the loads already have strong support, at least there is no risk of falling off, all the e track straps will do is to fixate the loads more than tie them down. You also have e track cargo bar, decking beam, rope tie off, etc. at your disposal, with e track ratchet straps you will be able to secure any kind of cargo , make the trucking experience much more enjoyable , but keep in mind that no matter what you can’t be more careful than it should be when it comes to your important cargo and truck , make sure your load are secured properly by appropriate tie downs.

As we described in the first paragraph, the design factor of ratchet assembly is 3:1, that means the working load limit is 1/3 of the minimum breaking strength, for comparison purpose we know that the binder chain has a design factor of 4:1, which basically says that for the chains the working load limit will be 1/4 of their breaking strength, which indicates that tie down chains are designed for tougher environment than tie down straps are in. Nylon and polyester webbing are used in making tie down webbing, for different applications people  will choose different material accordingly. Polyester webbing is almost perfect for tying down logs while nylon webbing is for small and light cargo. Elongation, tensile strength, abrasion and environment, these have to be taken into consideration when making tie down strap. There are mandated criteria for breaking strength and elongation of the tie down strap, while the abrasion and environment are mostly estimation and subjective sometimes, different area may have different requirements. Therefore the manufacturer may have to make these tie downs to different standards.

Closer look of Ratchet Tie Down Straps: Material and Making

The ratchet straps are just the assemblies of ratchet buckle and tie down webbing, if we use cam buckle instead of ratchet buckle then it’s cam buckle tie down, it’s pretty straight forward, isn’t it? Due the low strength of the cam buckle, we usually see these cam buckle tie downs being used on pick up trucks, 1” cams are all over the place while 2” cams are being used in box trucks. Compare to cam buckle the ratchets are stronger and more widely used, the available sizes of ratchets are 1”,2”,3” and 4”, and the ratchet buckle generally has higher working load limit than the  cam buckle, with 3,333LBS, 5,400LBS working load and a design factor of 3:1, these ratchets have 10,000LBS and 16,2000LBS breaking strength respectively, which are pretty strong for most tie down applications.

So far we talked about tie down devices for flatbeds or similar commercial vehicles, we will see there are other kind of trucks, the typical one is box truck, and most of them have E Track installed inside the truck, for these rigs we use e track straps. In fact box truck has much bigger share than flatbed truck, the percentage maybe around 80%, of course this is only estimation but you get the idea, and the conclusion is that e tack straps are by far the most popular tie downs. The e track straps usually have working load limit of 1000lbs, which is only 30% of the 2” flatbed tie downs, and the breaking strength is only 3,000lbs based on design factor 3:1. It’s understandable that e track straps have lower working load limit, because the box truck wall will provide strong support for the loads inside, and the truck wall will prevent the loads from falling off, rolling over, tilting and some other dangerous movements. With the help of e track cargo bar, rope tie off and some other e track tie downs and accessories, it’s pretty easy to secure loads inside the box trucks, but easy doesn’t mean not important, you still have to look out for any risks may present in the process of transportation, so secure your loads as reliable as you can, use the right tie down equipment for your job.

As we mentioned in the first paragraph, the design factor of ratchet assembly is 3:1, that means the working load limit is 1/3 of the minimum breaking strength, in the mean time the design factor of grade 70 tie down chains is 4:1, so the chains can support heavier load, and are more resistance to abuse, such as high/low temperature, moisture, while tie down straps usually only work well under normal condition. The most common materials in making tie down webbing are nylon and polyester, which serve different tie down applications. Nylon webbing has better elongation than polyester, so for shock absorption wise nylon is ideal material while polyester usually is used to make tie downs for heavy equipment. Elongation, tensile strength, abrasion and environment, these have to be taken into consideration when making tie down strap. There are mandated criteria for breaking strength and elongation of the tie down straps , while the abrasion and environment are mostly estimation and subjective sometimes, different area may have different requirements. Therefore the manufacturer may have to make these tie downs to different standards.

E Track Tie Downs: Straps, Cargo Bars and E Tracks

31 May, 13:19, by admin Tags: , , ,

E Track tie down system usually has two parts, the E Tracks and the logistic straps or hardware connector, aka E Track straps or tie downs. The E Track will be installed inside the box trucks , the most used are 2 settings , horizontal E Track and vertical E Track, most seen sizes are 5 feet and10 feet section. E Track tie downs have some varieties, there are e track cargo bars with e fittings at both ends, ratchet e track straps, cam buckle e track straps, rope tie offs, they all have e fittings at the ends, and on the floor we have chocks for stop vehicles from moving. Of course all of these need to have E Tracks installed and secured on the trailers, let’s see how do we do that.

Here we will discuss E Track Installation and Safety tips.

Now we’re going to mount the E Track onto the trailer wall, first thing we do is to find the wall studs, this is same for the floor installation. The wall studs are a big channel with a few flat spots to put the plywood on, we will do the same to the E Track and bridge the stud and the E Track, now we need to use screw to hold the E Track in the place, the trick is the same as any other handy jobs. Use deep threaded wood screws on these E Tracks is a good idea, and if it’s possbile, you should put one screw in each hole on the track, and run the track as far as you can(spread the load), then you’re pretty safe as long as for regular loads. The outside wall is about 2 inches away, so make sure the screws are not longer than that.

When finish installing E Tracks, you will need to test it, just put an rope tie off into the E Track, drag it all you want, see if there are any weak spots, loose ends or whatever feels not well secured, if there are any problems fix them before you put the system into real use.
