What is old way of link building any way? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they add your links to those linking websites without context, the content on those sites will never be updated, and most of them are useless, the name link spamming are just for these sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.  

Let’s check out a few examples. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started with this keyword, Hitch Ball, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, a lot of sites I used had too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, eventually the keyword could be found on first page,   the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, we promoted this keyword with articles and blog posts, not too many plain links have been built, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, such as this interesting blog, kaiya eve , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, you probably think this site won’t rank a all, in reality this site is doing pretty well for more than a few search terms. As far as SEO concerned, creating quality content and article marketing is what we have to do to get great result. If you can build a group of your own blogs, something like Dog Tie Out, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Remember content is king, you just need to create content, publish and share with people, promote your business with the content, your effort will reward you handsomely in the end. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, long term strategy is required to improve anything of significance, be it your business or search rankings, now all we need to do is to give our love for creating and sharing quality content and not to worry about the ranking all the time. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, google will index a new article on ezine promptly, popular blogs will get your post indexed as soon as you post it, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, Vehicle First Aid Kit, explains some interesting concepts, nice writing, good content, published on popular site, this article is a good example of article marketing. 

We’re not finished yet, please remeber, the social media is the must have channel for your marketing effort. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, sign up for a twitter account and create a new application, link your blog to twitter, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s simple and elegant, if you don’t use this tool it’s just too bad.
